When leaders ask for coaching

It might be time if...

  • There's a conversation coming up that you've been putting off.
  • People in your team have stopped working well together, and it's on you to fix it.
  • You're new to leading a team that has history.
  • You avoid conflict, or meet it head on and regret it later.
  • Someone has told you your style is part of the problem.
  • You want to handle it well, not just get through it.

Choosing the right process

Coaching, or mediation?

This is

Conflict coaching

Is for one person: you. It builds your skill and confidence to handle difficult conversations and team dynamics yourself.

This is

Mediation

Is for the people in a dispute, together, with someone neutral running the conversation.

Coaching often helps before or after a mediation, and when the conflict is yours to lead through rather than yours to be in.

How it works

How coaching works.

Practical and confidential. Built around the conversations actually in front of you.
  1. $290, 45 minutes

    Triage call

We talk through what's going on and check that coaching is the right fit, rather than mediation or HR guidance.

  2. Leadership coaching expertise

    Matched to a coach

We match you with an expert leadership coach whose experience fits what you're dealing with.

  3. Written down

    Your coaching plan

Together you set out what you want to change, the conversations ahead and how you'll know it's working.

  4. One hour each, one-on-one

    Four sessions

Practical, confidential sessions: preparing for hard conversations, reading team dynamics and choosing what to do next.

  5. Up to two hours

    Between sessions

Your coach spends up to two hours between sessions on planning, follow-up resources and scheduling, so each session picks up where the last one left off.

  6. After session four

    Leading it yourself

You finish with a plan you can keep using, and more confidence to lead the next difficult conversation yourself.

Pricing

Four sessions and a plan. One price.

No retainer and no year-long program to sign up for. Four one-hour sessions, up to two hours of support between them and a written coaching plan, at a fixed price.

Questions

Conflict coaching for leaders: common questions.

  • Who is the coaching for?

  • How long are the sessions?

An hour each. Between sessions, your coach spends up to two hours on planning, follow-up resources and scheduling.

  • Is it confidential?

Yes. What you discuss stays between you and your coach. If your organisation is paying, we agree up front what, if anything, is reported back.

  • Is this therapy or counselling?

No. It's practical coaching focused on leading through conflict. If something needs a different kind of support, your coach will say so.
